Another day....

Whoa!!!! What the?.....like my cheeks?!!!!

We were not as busy today as we have been the past few days but the bathroom still did not get painted. Oh well I'll try again tomorrow.

I've decided Kk is the best big sister ever. She definitely loves her little sister more than anything. She likes getting her out of her play pen after nap time, changing diapers, and playing with her every second she is awake. I noticed today everytime Keija would start crying and fussing, Kailye would pick her up and she would get so quiet. Even if she was hungry she would still get so quiet and just stare at KK. It is the sweetest thing...plus it allows me to actually get things done.

We visited Grandma Leeana today but I forgot my camera so no pics. Kailye also finished up her swimming lessons. She passed off all the requirements so after we went and got her a treat. She loves the fruit drinks from Juice N' Java...I think it might be the mound of whip cream they put on the top. I was good and didn't get one...like I need one:PAfter our walk the other day I looked at Kailye's feet when we got home and they were bleeding. I asked her why and she said her shoes hurt her feet...crazy kid never complains about stuff like that. So today we went and got her some new tennis shoes. One of Kailye's favorite things to do is run so she goes through a pair of shoes every 6 months or so. Not so much because they are too small but because they are worn out. They don't really make kids running shoes thinking the cute little 5 year old wearing them is going to run miles in them:) Funny kid!

Michael worked ALL day today. He went to work for his dad and then headed up to the apartments to earn a little extra mula for a bit...yep, those hospital bills are rolling in like a bulldozer! We are trying to make sure we don't fall behind. I'm glad he is willing to work more. Even though he only saw his girls for 20 minutes tonight before KK went to bed and then he fell asleep:)My wonderful husband after a very long work day...his favorite thing to do!

Well I think that was a lot longer than I meant it to be...oh well.

bathroom?...

So after waking up this morning, feeding Kailye, Keija and myself, getting all of us ready for the day, going to Keija's doctor's appointment...which the receptionist apparently didn't actually schedule so we waited for an hour for another doctor...then waited another hour in the room to get all Keija's stuff done......So....by this time Keija hadn't eaten for 4 hours but she was asleep so we hurried up to our Dentist appointments before we were late. After the Dentist appointments...no cavities for Trish and Kailye, Michael has 5!!!!... Keija still hadn't eaten and this was going on 6 hours...oh well she's still sleeping:)...Great! So we rushed back toward home to get KK changed and over to swimming lessons...She's awake...great, perfect timing. So I fed Keija and we headed off to swimming lessons. Thank goodness they are only 30 minutes long. After swimming we got Kk changed and headed up to Target to grab a gift for my nephew...who turns 4 today...they are all growing up too fast! Michael met us there, we filled Keija's prescription..yep she has thrush...fun, and then headed up to the Maxwell Hotel!

This is where we are now...so needless to say the bathroom did not get painted today!..I don't know when I thought I might have time to do it:)

Walking

Today was a pretty relaxed day. Keija actually slept from 2 am to 7:30 am....WOOHOOO!!!!...so we got up with Michael this morning and made him a very yummy breakfast burrito before he went to work. My plan was to keep Keija awake until Kailye got up...which is usually sometime around 10 or 11. Well that didn't happen we both fell asleep. It might be a long night again because she slept a lot today.

We got Kailye clothes cleaned out today. It was in desperate need. She kept wearing things that were too small and too tight. Plus they weren't fitting in her closet. now everything is nice and organized. We also went and ran some errands. I forgot to go to the grocery store on the way home though so after dinner tonight Michael, Kailye, Keija, Marley, and I all took a walk to Target. It was so nice to get a little exercise and not have to drive. We had a good time and I got in about a mile walk.

Tomorrow Kailye and I are going to try and get the bathroom painted before Michael gets home from work...I'm not so sure that is going to happen though. We have a doctor's appointment for Keija in the morning and then KK and I have dentist appointments tomorrow afternoon in Salt Lake. I guess we'll see how that works out. Sorry no pictures today.

I'm up at mom's for a minute so I figured I'd put up a few of the pictures dad took on the 4th!

4th of July weekend:)

We had a great 4Th of July weekend. It started on Thursday night with a birthday party for Natalie. We went over to Michael's dad's for a BBQ. It was fun to see everyone and Kailye was very excited that Natalie and Chandler's nieces were there also. She loves playing with those girls.

Friday was the 4Th and we slept all morning...even KK slept until noon...and then got ready and headed to Grandma and Grandpa Maxwell's. Katy and her munchkins are here so we went up to visit with everyone. It was the first time that all 7 grand kids were together at once. It was fun to see how big baby Michael has gotten and see him and JD playing together. It was so funny to watch Braxton be the "little kid" to kk and Parks and watch Brighton be the "big kid" to JD and Michael. We had dad take some cute pictures of the girls and a family picture of all of us but I'll have to post some later. After that we went down to Leeana's so she could see the girl's in their cute dresses. She also surprised KK the other day with a ticket to the Stadium of Fire, to see Miley Cyrus. Kailye loves her music. They had a great time. Keija loves to sleep on Michael's chest. How do you like the festive flag sticker?Michael and I went out to dinner with Adam & Kik and Nat & Chandler to one of our favorite places, Goodwood. It was great. It did feel really weird to be short a kid though. I'm not used to just taking Keija places...although it is a lot quieter with out KK there. After dinner we went watch the fireworks show. It was a good night.

Saturday we headed up to Jordanelle Reservoir so Kailye and Michael could go out on Grandpa Dan's new boat. They had a good time and Keija and I stayed on the "beach" with Kik and Jayci. Jayci is getting so big...she so cute. It was a nice relaxing day. And I only burned a few square inches of my arm where I apparently missed the sunscreen.

Today has been boring. Keija did not sleep at all last night and was very unhappy so we have been catching up on the sleep today. She of course has been asleep all day so tonight should be great fun. I try to keep her awake during the day but she is definitely Michael and my daughter because you can not wake her up at all.

So Keija is a little bigger than her cousin Aubri but she is 5 weeks younger.

It's been a while since I have updated this so I figured now is a good time.

Things have been great around our house. Kailye has loved having a little sister. She is very protective and always wants to help with everything. The transition has still been very smooth thus far. The only thing we've run into is Keija doesn't have a bed time and Kailye does. She's not a big fan of that. Kailye started swimming lessons this week also, so she has been happy to be doing something that's for her and not Keija.

Keija is doing well. No more jaundice. We have had quite a bit of puke...no not spit up people..full on projectile puke. We took her to the doctor Sunday and he said she probably just gets too full and then lets it go. So we have been watching closer to make sure she's not eating to much and so far she only threw up once more. The sleeping at night really only lasted a week and now she's backwards. She is wide awake at about 3 or 4 for a few hours. I do fine with it but Michael hasn't been getting as much sleep as he needs. If you have ever seen Michael when he is exhausted you would think he were on something. It's pretty hilarious. He falls asleep standing up. Poor guy.

We have been enjoying our newly doubled kids and I am loving watching them grow and learn day to day. I have been doing well. I have dropped down 28 pounds in the past 2 weeks which is great considering I only gained 22 pounds from my pregnancy. But if you add the other 30 pounds from the 2 miscarriages last year then I still have a long way to go. I need to start doing more to make sure it stays off too. I do not want it to all come rushing back after I stop nursing. Well I better get going Keija should be waking up any minute.
