Not much

I don't have a whole lot to update on...unless it's about my pregnancy. We ended up in the hospital again last week. Check the other blog for more on that:)

Last Saturday was Kailye's 5th birthday! I can't believe she is so old already. She is so fun to have around and Michael and I are always astonished with her humor and smarts. She had her end of school year recital on Thursday. It was very cute. They did there dance, sang, and read sight words out loud. I will have tp post pictures another time.

Things have been good with Michael and work. His dad sold the apartments but Michael still has the opportunity to work there if he chooses. He talked to his dad yesterday and he wants him up working for him asap though. I guess we will see how the next few weeks unfold. We have a few decisions that need to be made before this new baby comes...which technically could be any day now. Well I have to get to one last meeting before i go out on maternity leave...woohoo. Bye.

Still?

So the contractions are back again. Not back still. I thought maybe they were just Braxton Hicks...never having them before, since with Kailye from 6 months on were real contractions...but the monitor at the hospital on Friday night proved differently. They are still not bad and not regular so I'm not worried about it. My doctor's don't seem to be either. They were however worried about the spike in blood pressure Friday. You can read all about it at my preggo blog.

Friday night, after the hospital, Michael, Kailye and I went over to Costco to get food and candy for KK's B-day party. It is so crowded there on Friday night. But I figured better than Saturday morning. After that we headed up to mom & dad's to drop off all the food and get everything ready. Thank you Art & Steph for letting us invade on the one of few weekends you actually had the house to your family. We watched the Basket ball game...so sad..and a few episodes of The Office we had missed.

Saturday was Kailye's birthday party. I don't do "kid games" or anything like that for birthdays...especially at 8 months pregnant...so Steph and Michael set up 2 swimming pools and a slip and slide. A bunch of Kailye's friends from school and a few cousins and other friends come over. They all had so much fun. We had hamburgers and watermelon. And then we loaded them all full of sugar from the pinata and the cake. Kailye loved it and got lots of cute toys to play with. Thankfully nothing huge that would not fit in our already cramped house. I can't believe my little stinker is almost 5! I'm still in shock a bit.

Saturday night Kailye went and played at Grandma and Grandpa Griffee's house while Michael and I went to a UFC fight night at the Salt Palace. I would normally never go to those things because I think it's pretty...well..ghetto, white trash, etc...but Michael's friend Tua was fighting so we went. A few of the fights were actually pretty entertaining to watch, but Tua's fight was just sad. Michael was pretty ornery about it the rest of the night. Tua did not do well. He said he got stunned by a knee to the head in the first few seconds and doesn't remember much after that. Considering the fight lasted 2.5 minutes though he did pretty well for not knowing what was going on. It was a little unfair though because the guy he fought had 10 fights already and this was Tua's first. Oh well. Michael has been saying for a little while that he thinks he might want to fight...no more dangerous than rugby in my opinion...I have been a little hesitant about it just because it takes so much time. Well after watching these fights the other night I think he'd do just fine in his weight class...He's not the nicest fighter. I guess when you grow up with all your friends being Polynesian you tend to grow up fighting guys a lot bigger than you. I told him he'd have to chose though. I am not dealing with rugby and fighting. I guess we'll see. Well I better get back to work...ha ha...like I am really working today...I've been here since 8:30 and haven't really started yet...oh well.

Long time no post.

I just realized today I haven't blogged in a while. Saturday we had a baby shower that my mother in law and Aunt Val put together for us. It was so nice to see all of our family and we got some great things we were needing. It was such a pretty day. Most of the guys played football while us girls and a few guys stayed and played games and opened presents. Kailye was so excited about the whole thing. She took every single person who came through the door to go see Val's new puppy's. She was very cute. She did take a nose dive on the gravel at one point but she is getting better now. My camera was out of battery so I will have to have Natalie email all the pictures.

Sunday night we started having contractions so we spent Monday afternoon in the hospital. Everything is fine and the non-stress test came back negative. Which I was very happy about because I really don't want to have this baby until we are past 36 weeks. After that anytime is fine with me. I have been feeling pretty lousy the past week and I stayed home from work a few days to try to help. I think it's just bad allergies but I guess we'll see.

I have spent the past 2 days trying to catch up on everything I've neglected for the past week...getting new insurance on our cars and house, getting insurance set up for Keija, getting everything ready for Kailye's bday party on Saturday(1pm @ Grandma Maxwell's if we forgot you), taking Kailye to get a new swim suit for her party, running to target at lunch to get a bday cake, working, and falling asleep every afternoon at the same time...I need to get going so I can finish up my list. Bye.

Car seat...

Michael's mom told us she would get us a stroller...uh she might have "damaged" our old one LOL...so we let her know which one we wanted and then we found one of those travel system, car seat/stroller things. It made our car seat much less expensive to buy them together. We went and got it last night and for some reason the more stuff we get the more real this all feels...weird I know. Michael was looking at some other ones while we were there last night and saying "what about this one, or what about that one?" I kept telling him I had done my research and this one was among the top rated ones. So he had to ask the sales lady...she explained verbatim what I had already told him...LOL...HA! I win! Our car seat is a European model which means the crash tests are more vigorous. In the US they only test front and back impact at 35 MPH...well in Europe they test 70 MPH front, back, and side. And our seat was the highest rated they have. Neener, Neener you big Nerdo, I'm the winner!!! (we're not competitive at all:) Anyway I'm glad we have our cute new seat and stroller!

Belly anyone?...and some other pictures!

Here is the girl's room...I just remembered I hadn't posted those picture's either...of course walls are still un-painted but we'll get there.

This is a picture from one of Michael's rugby games in Fresno a few weeks ago. I tried to find a better one but the kid he gave the camera to to take the pictures pretty much just got a lot of his butt. As much as I would love to post them Michael might not be a fan.Michael is the guy in the yellow who looks like he's sitting down.
This is from Sunday when we went up behind Sundance...It was pretty cold still.

Kailye and Marley didn't seem to care though...they had plenty of fun running all over.

We went to Thanksgiving Point the other night with Michael's family. It was so pretty. We went to see the Tulip Festival but somehow we took not a single picture of the tulips...oops :P
Natalie is Due May 24th with her little girl Aubri. I'm not due until June 25th people...what the?
Jayci & Kari...she's so cute...uh Jayci...I mean Kik's cute too but I was talking about Jayci.

Holy moly...look at that belly. Kailye kills me with her little legs crossed.

Okay so this is me 8 1/2 months pregnant with Kailye..I think I had her just a few days later. Nicola was preggo with Adam. Oh man I had such nice legs first time around:) And this is me 7 months pregnant with Keija....I didn't realize how big that belly was until I actually looked at this picture. No wonder everyone asks if I'm having twins. Kailye was seeing how big she could get her belly:)

So there you go...now you can all see why I'm so not looking forward to 6 more weeks of this kid growning!

Work?..school?

Michael's dad has sold the apartment complex he has been working on for the past year and half. Which is good news but also a little scary for a minute. Good because for Michael's graduation he offered to pay off Michael's student loans as soon as he sold the complex...WOOHOO!!!!!! Which is fabulous because Michael has decided he wants to go back to school:)...I'll get to that in a bit. The down side, for the time being, is that Michael is a little stuck for a few weeks.
His dad is going to pay him what is left of what he owes him as soon as the complex closes, but until then we were already stretched thin. Also the other down side is that he can't start working up there again until it closes. I guess the new owner wants who's there now to finish off the project. His dad is aware we are stretched, I'm assuming, because he told Michael he wants him to tile two of the bathrooms in his house. So I guess he'll do that this week and we'll see how the next few weeks go. I'm not sure what he is going to do, I know his dad wants him to work with him also so we'll see.
Back to the school thing...the other day we were talking and he said he wants to go back to school. I figured this would happen about this time. I actually bet my mom a year ago, when he graduated, that he would be back in school in 2 years. Well I think I might win that bet. He said he wants to go back and get a law degree in something to do with business law. I'm all for it as long as I don't have to work this time around. He is so smart sometimes it's a little freaky. He breezed right through his undergraduate without hardly opening a book so it will be interesting to see what he can do if he studies.

Contest...

So per Chrissie's request I need some new K nicknames. We already call Kailye, "kk", so now we need one for Keija. Let's see who thinks of the best one's...because I can't think of any.

And Chrissie just blend it together..."kasia"...no pause:)
