Not a lot...really.

This week has been pretty uneventful. I was sick on Tuesday so I did nothing. Poor Kailye, about noon she came over to me and said, "dad said to tell you that we can just do girly stuff all day". Dad forgot to mention to Kk that I was so sick. I don't have anything contagious, I just can't seem to get my body back on track yet from last weeks hypoglycemia nightmare. So yesterday I was home again. I need to try to get to bed at a descent time so I can eat regularly. Right now I can't fall asleep until around 2 or 3 and then I don't wake up until 10 which means I am going usually 13-14 hrs. with no food. That doesn't work so well with my hypoglycemia, so I just keep making myself sick. Fun eh? Yeah I'm going to try and get back on track this weekend.

It's a good thing Michael has been working these past few months or we would be in trouble. With car accidents and pregnancies, and hypoglycemia I haven't really been getting all that much done. Oh well...in 4 months it will be all on him anyway so I guess it's been good to feel that transition now instead of right after we have Keija. Michael would rather I be home right now with Kailye but since there is no way to get insurance on me I will tough it out. Not like I work that much right now anyway. Hense the blogging from work:) Speaking of, I better get back to it. Bye.

Nothing exciting.

Monday we went up to mom and dad's again. After Kk and I got the oil changed in the Pathfinder...she was making some lovely faces. We also found a grey hair. yes, you read right.

My four year old has a grey hair. I had to show Steph to see if I was just seeing things. SHe confirmed. When I went to show Michael later that night I found another one.

It was fun to sit and watch all the kids run around. Brighton was chasing Parks and Kk like this all over the house...it was so funny.Kk also had a great time holding baby JD. She loves to hold him like a big kid and she's actually pretty good at watching his head and holding on to him. Yesterday Kk and I stayed home. I usually send her to one of my friends houses that has a little girl her age but I couldn't get a hold of her. We had a "Movie Day". We just sat around in our PJ's and watched movies all day. Kk also learned a bit about not lying yesterday too...she getting there.
Oh yeah I also posted a new belly picture.

Weekend review.

We had a pretty chill weekend. Friday we..uh..I can't remember what we did Friday. Must have been pretty thrilling. Saturday Mom and I went in the morning to look at sewing machines. I have a lot I need to get done on the girls room and she said she could do that for me for my birthday. Woohoo. While we were at the sewing shop we saw some beautiful quilts on the walls. So I decided that I wanted to change what I was going to do in the girls room.

Saturday afternoon we went to Kristin's for a cookie party. It was a lot of fun. Kailye loved trying all the different kinds of cookies. We even triple tied for fourth in taste...with Bobbie's chocolate chip cookie recipe :) After the cookie party we headed out with the Maxwell group, Mom, Steph, Parks, Bright, Bobbie, JD, Kk and I to go get fabrics and a quilt pattern for the girl's room and to look at some for Steph's boys room....Oh man, I always forget how many of us there are until we all go somewhere together, on a Saturday afternoon, before the super bowl. We are a little out of our minds. By the time we had gone to our thirds store we were all ready to be done.

I don't remember what we did Saturday night...stupid pregnancy brain. Sunday we headed up to mom and dad's to watch the super bowl. What a game...okay let me try that again...what a fourth quarter. It was fun to hang out with Art and Steph and watch the game. We have spent the past 4 years at Michael's dad's house for the game so it was nice to do something different this time. On the way home we were headed out down the road from mom and dad's and we saw abunch of cars slid off the side of the road all the way down the hill. We chose a different route but even that was so slick and there were accidents everywhere.

Today I went to work for a bit in the morning and then went and got Kailye from school. She loves when I come to get her. We went and got the oil changed and have been up at mom and dad's since then. I forgot how much I enjoyed living here with Steph and the boys. It is so nice to have someone for Kailye to play with and for me to have an adult to talk to and vent to...thus the 3 AM talks the other morning. Kailye really wants to "help" uncle Art finishing building the igloo so I think we will be here for family night tonight...if they are not too sick of us by then.

Memories...

I posted a belly picture....here. I was looking through a bunch of old pictures today of Kk and decided I wanted to do a time line post. A lot of her much younger pictures are on dads computer but here are a few.

This is Kailye at 6 weeks old. She had those big ears at 2 weeks old.
Michael & I drove around the west side of Utah Lake when Kk was 3 months old to watch the sunrise...that background is the sky.

Kailye actually won a baby photo contest with this one. She was 6 months old.

We took Kailye boating when she was a year old. She loves boating now.

Kailye was 18 months old in this picture. She loved going to her daddy's rugby games..or maybe it was stealing mommy's drinks.

Almost 2...definitely 2! Cheese ball.

I'm 3...do you want me to help you paint?

3 1/2 and so grown up...what the attitude..where did you get that? Oh my 4 years old...she grew up WAy too fast! 4 going on 17! This was less than a month ago...this is my snow bunny! The outfit she wears if she's not going to get in the snow. I can't believe how big she is. It is crazy to me that in just a few months she will be 5 years old. I kills me how much of her personality has been there from birth. She has always been so sassy and such a poser!I never wanted my kids to be 5 years apart, but now I am glad they are. I got to know this little one inside and out and give her all attention for 5 years. I'm so excited to have another one.

For Will.

Okay will the pizza place is called Pizzeria Seven Twelve. It is in the new Condo community in Orem at 320 South State street. It looks like there is nothing open in there yet but there is!

mmm pizza

Michael, Kailye and I tried a new pizza place in Orem last night. It is fresh pizza, hand thrown and cooked in an actual brick oven. It was so yummy. I am a big fan. We will definitely go there again. We also decided to tackle our bedroom last night. Yeah right...we now have 5 baskets full of clothes in our front room that still need to be folded. But I can see my floor in my room, and it feels much bigger with out all the stuff in it. I'm betting since Michael has rugby tonight and won't be home until 10:30...if he even gets through the storm to come home tonight...I will be doing most of the work for that. At least I can make a dent.

We have lived at our house for 4 1/2 months and things are still not put away. Not just the garage but the stuff that is actually in our house. We did get the girls room rearranged, and our family room looks great but the rest of the house still need LOTS of help. I'm just glad that lately I'm feeling well enough to actually work on it. Well back to work. Bye.

Weekend

We really did not do much this weekend. On Friday we went up to mom & dad's to pick up Michael's new ski pants (thanks mom, and Art for that discount) that he got for his bday. He was pretty excited. While we were there I decided I wanted to go to a movie, so I got Steph and took her with Kk and I to see 27 Dresses. It was cute. Michael would have been pretty bored if he would have gone. After the movie I took Steph back up to the house and we started talking...we tend to do that a lot...well a while later Bobbie stepped outside and said Michael had just called the house. I looked at the clock on the dash board and we had been sitting outside talking for nearly 3 hours...yeah it was 3:30 AM. Oops...needless to say our husbands were a bit nervous as to where we were. My phone automatically shuts off at 1AM so I never heard them call and Steph had left her phone at home. Next time maybe we need to set a timer?!

Saturday Michael and I slept in a bit since we had been up so late. We spent the day being pretty lazy. We did get the girl's room rearranged and some curtains up in that room and the front room. It looks so nice. That night we both started feeling a bit sick so the rest of the weekend was pretty lazy. We stayed home from work on Monday too and got some much needed sleep.

Today hasn't started out so great either...look here. But I'm hoping the rest of the day will go better.

Blog template

I'm so freezing today, I really had to warm things up. I want it to be summer sooooo bad. I'm tired of being freezing. So I figured it could be summer on my blog. What do you think? Kailye is also VERY ready for warm weather. It doesn't help that I keep letting her get summer clothes here and there.

Last night Kailye and I went up to Salt lake with mom to get Michael his birthday present from mom and dad...but what he wanted looked really cheap and not cute, so Mom and I vetoed that idea. We did however get mom a few shirts than kk got a few things and I grabbed a few long sleeve shirts to fit over my belly. We also found her a cute new suit. It is reversible. We had fun.

On the way home we stopped at a little girl's store that just opened in American Fork, Justice, OH MY...I could go broke there. Kailye loved pretty much everything she saw. Mom and I found her outfits and she would go in and try them on. She was so funny. There were clothes all over the floor. She did say that the blue leggings mom picked out were "Freaking her out!" We laughed pretty hard at that one. She did get a few summer dresses though and a cute new shirt...oh and of course new sunglasses. When we were ready to go we told Kailye to put her clothes back on and she was taking a very long time. I opened the curtain to the dressing room and she was posing in front of the mirror with her new glasses and her own clothes on. She's such a girly girl when it comes to clothes.

Snow fun.

Yesterday was a kind of lazy day. I went to work in the morning and then had to run by the doctor. Michael and I then went over and saw JD...he's so cute. After that we went to Cafe Rio then back to work. I didn't stay long though. I went home and it had snowed another 4 inches from when Michael had shoveled that morning. So being ambitious I figured I'd give it a try...I have never shoveled before in my life...I did pretty well I must say. And I'm so sore today. I might need to do that more often.

I was still waiting for Kailye and Michael to get home so I let Marley out into the front yard to play for a while. She had so much fun. She was playing with her tennis ball in the snow. She would find it and pick it up and then throw it on accident because it was so could. I have pictures but I'm at work so I'll have to post them later.

Katy and Chad came by yesterday for a few minutes with baby Michael. That kid is so big. He is the size of Jayci, Kari and Adam's 3 month old, but he's 3 weeks old. Michael loves that he's so big. I have cute pictures of my Michael holding baby Michael...also have to post later.

Well back to work...I'm getting worse and worse at this working thing. Oh well:)

Weekend

Friday we went over to mom and dad's and had pizza for Michael's birthday. Poor Michael, as soon as dinner was done mom pulled Steph and I in to help with Bobbie's room. And all the boys were playing Rockband...not really Michael's thing. he was pretty excited to see our new nephew Michael. That kid is huge. And sooo cute.

Saturday was Bobbie's shower so Michael went skiing. Bobbie got to the house just before the shower. It was nice. There were lots of babies there. And Bobbie did very well. She of course headed straight over to the hospital as soon as she could but she got lots of great stuff. JD is still a sicko but he's doing pretty well. That night we headed up to Salt Lake for dinner with Michael's family. We went to Red Lobster, Michael's favorite, and it was so good. I haven't been there for quite a while. After dinner we headed over to Kari and Adam's for cake, for Michael's birthday. And he got to open his Birthday presents. This is the first year ever I have actually surprised Michael. I am usually either too excited about what I got him to wait until his birthday or I just take him to go get it. But this year with lots of help from his brother I pulled it off. He got a gun safe from his family and a 45 handgun from me. He was so excited. I already told him he could have it but he wasn't expecting it for a while. He played with it all day yesterday, his actually birthday, and is so excited to go to the shooting range and use it. Adam got one for Christmas so he has someone to play with now.

Yesterday was Michael's actual birthday. We did absolutely nothing. I woke up with a head ache...like most mornings...and I really felt awful so I slept most of the day. KK also slept half the afternoon with me. Today is a little better, just have to make a quick trip to the doctors. Better get going. Bye.

Cold!

Last night we got home to find that all the power was off with in 10 blocks of our house. It was strange how dark it was. I called the power company and the recording said they didn't know what caused the outage but it would not be back on until 6 am and 9000 customers were with out power. Fun eh? Well we grabbed some flash lights and went to bed. Now our house is old, and doesn't hold heat so wonderfully. We do have an over sized heater that heats the whole house in two minutes but with the power out it was useless. Well we looked at the thermometer on the front of the house and it said 13 degrees. Um hello cold! At 2 am I went to look at our battery powered temp gage and it said our house was 52 degrees...it was awful. SOooo cold. It felt like we were camping, outside, in November. Well at 3 the power flipped on. Thank goodness, I don't think I could have slept if it got any colder. Our house temp. dropped 20 degrees in just 2 hours, could you imagine another 2. I would have been sleeping in the car...It was much warmer.

Kailye has been really cold lately with anything so she slept with 8 blankets. I'm glad I had so many blankets. She'd under there somewhere.

update

Kailye is doing much better now. The Tuesday night was very rough. She would wake up every 45 minutes, either from her breathing changing or from the heater kicking on. Plus we woke up in the morning to a wet bed...like I said rough night...which we were both sleeping in. She tried to say it was me but she knew it was her. After we got cleaned up she was acting pretty normal. She was not happy she had to stay inside all day. She told me multiple times just how bored she was. She is not used to hearing things like that so the smallest noises are a whole new experience for her. It has been fun to see what she hears differently now. She is much quieter than she used to be...we'll see how long that lasts. It is still scary to think that we came that close to losing her.

Last night was much better than the night before. She slept pretty well. She still would wake up or stir a little when the heater came on, but other wise she is sleeping much better than she used to. She no longer snores and she can actually breath now. It is such a blessing what modern medicine can do. I think she was happy to be able to go to grandma Leeana's today and not stay home all day again. We still need to watch her breathing, but she is back to normal...a little quieter...Kailye.

Well I need to get some work done before I need to go get her so I'll try and post pictures later.

very long day...

Kailye had her surgery this morning. She had to have tubes and have her adenoids removed. She was doing very well until these two ladies with the child welfare for the hospital came in. They talked to her like she was a baby, and made her very nervous. Kailye is used to being talked to like an adult or an equal and she didn't seem to appreciate being talked to like a 2 year old...hmm, weird. They made her a little nervous for a second but she did very well when the doctors took her back to the operating room. It was only supposed to take 20 for the surgery and then another 10 minutes for her to wake up before they brought her back to us. Well at 50 minutes I was a bit nervous, I was already really nervous about her being put under as it was, and her doctor came in to explain why it was taking so long. Kailye had a reaction to the anesthesia as she was waking up. The rings that are around her esophagus at her vocal cords shut and blocked her breathing. So they had to immediately put her back to sleep so they could get her muscles to relax. It took quite a while and they actually had to put a tube down her throat and bag her for 6-7 minutes. The doctor said she should have quite a bit of bruising on her face because it took a lot of pressure to get air in her lungs. They sugar coated it when they first told us but as the day went on and we heard other nurses in the hospital talking about it we learned that we nearly lost her. Thank goodness the anesthesiologist was still in the room and there were a lot of quick nurses there to respond. Our doctor said the team there responded very quickly and she was impressed with there speed. Not exactly something you want to hear about your tiny 4 year old's surgery, but I am very grateful everything turned out okay. Since she was "the naughty one" as the nurses said teasing, they kept her there for much longer then a normal surgery. We got there at 9:30 and were told we'd only be there 3 hours, well we went home at 4:30.

We have been home all afternoon and she has gone back to her happy self. She does have a very sore throat and she has to be watched very closely for the next 24 hours. We were told if her breathing changes even in the slightest to take her straight to the emergency room. So it may be a long night, but it is much better than the alternative. I'm so glad that my husband has the ability to bless our little ones. We had him give her a blessing last night while we were at Adam and Kari's, thank you mom for reminding us to do so, and I feel like that helped her today. Well it's been a long day and it's about to be a long night so I better go.

Weekend.

Nothing exciting to write about today. Friday we went and saw Alvin & The Chipmunks with Dan, Peggy, Adam, Kari, & Jayci. It was cute I laughed a lot and Kailye loved it. I was a bit uncomfortable during the movie because our little stinker kept stick it's foot right out where my pants sit when I sit down. When we got home I had Michael put his hand on my stomach right there and you could definitely feel it's little foot.

Saturday we hung at home all day because I was feeling sick...I know shocker! We did go to China Lily for dinner though. I haven't been there in so long. I used to work there so my old boss was excited to see us. She was surprised by how big Kailye was also.

Sunday we forgot that our church time changed so we totally missed it. Oops. But we did get in a whole day of football...well I slept half the day but kk and Michael watched lots of football. Michael also started to get the baby stuff out of the garage. He put up the crib in Kk's room and we are starting to get things situated. I still need to figure out how to con mom into making all the bedding for the kids room. I don't have a sewing machine...plus she is much better at that stuff than me. I already have all the fabric I just need it done. We'll see. Well I better go.

Sorry no pictures I forgot my camera again this weekend.

Dinner

Michael's Aunt and Uncle are here from Tennessee for a while and for Christmas they took everyone to dinner. We went last night to Rodizio's at Trolley Square. It was so good. Being pregnant I haven't had hardly any appetite at all and even if I do I can usually only eat a few bites before I'm stuffed. Well yesterday was definitely the exception. Oh man I ate a lot. Once again I forgot my camera though so no pictures to share. But I swear I will try to remember to put up a belly picture tonight on my other blog. Maybe I'll put it up on here too.

Michael is heading out to Chicago for training for a new job next week. He hasn't completely decided if it is what he wants to do yet, but we both figured it couldn't hurt to go out and see what training is like. We need to go get him some more dress clothes this weekend also. I'm glad his dad gave him a gift card for Christmas because we do not have a ton of money to spend on that stuff right now. Even if he decides when he comes home that he hates it, sales training for anything is a good thing to experience...well as long as the trainer is good and the program. We'll see how it goes. I'm not too happy about him being gone when Kk has to get tubes. She will be sad. It also makes me so nervous to have her get them in the first place. She has never had to go under anesthesia before. I think it's a little nerve racking. I will be glad to have her be able to hear though.

Well back to work. Bye.

New Years

This years New Years Eve was pretty relaxed. We went to mom and dad's house and played games with the family...minus the Huntsman's. It was fun and so chill. We ate yummy lasagna Steph made and sat around all night. Honestly some of us didn't make to mid night, and the rest of us barely did.
Kailye went to the doctor earlier in the day with mom and Bobbie. I guess at one point she was arguing with the nurse about the thermometer. Well the nurse said should we take you r temperature...well mom called me right after and said Kk has a fever at 102. Yikes, that kid kills me. You never know she's sick until she pukes on you. Since she was so sick so she just laid on the couch half the night. But she still had fun trying to steal Bobbie's property in Monopoly.

On New Years day Michael went to work so Kk and I went up to mom's again. We went and saw The Waterhorse with Art and Steph and the boys. It was cute. Kailye liked it. At one point during the movie Kailye moved over to sit next to Aunt Steph because Brighton wasn't sitting in his seat and then Brighton came over and crawled in the seat with Kailye. He was so cute and giggly. It was funny. Later last night Michael came over to mom and dad's to watch the Hawaii Vs. Georgia game and Steph, mom, Kailye and I went to see P.S. I Love You. It was such a good movie. I'm not a Hilary Swank fan but she did a great job with the role. I would also love to know where I can buy almost everything she wore in that whole movie. Kailye was funny on the lovie dovey parts she would cover her eyes and make funny faces.

Well I need to get to work. Sorry there are no pictures I forgot to take my camera. I'm not sure any of us took any pictures, now that I think of it...Bye.

Christmas

We had an awesome Holiday season. Friday we went to the Nutcracker with the Griffee Family. It was fun to see Kailye and Kari's niece Ali watch the show. On Saturday Michael and I got up and went to opposite valleys to finish Christmas shopping. Then we went to Grandma Gordon's Christmas party. Kailye had so much fun playing with the rest of the great grand kids.

On Sunday I was sick so I had to stay home from our cute little niece Jayci's blessing. Michael and Kailye went and said it was good. Little Jayci is so sweet. On Moday we woke up a little late and went to lunch with Leeana and Michael's siblings along with their spouses at Carrabba's. I love that place. After lunch Michael went shopping and Leeana, kk, and I went to finish up shopping and Christmas dinner. Michael and I decided last year that from now on we are doing our own Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas morning. It was so fun. We did invite Leeana and got her jammies as well. We had cheese potatoes and ham. It was wonderful. After dinner we read Christmas stories in our Christmas pajamas. Leeana went home and kk went to bed and Santa was glad that all the gifts were wrapped.

Christmas morning was so much fun to watch kk open all her presents. She is such a girl. She got lots of Barbies and Clothes. Her favorite shirt is definitely the one the Maxwell's bought her. She was so excited to have it match mommy's. I wanted to take a picture today but she wasn't feeling good tonight and just wanted to go to sleep. After Christmas morning stuff we headed to Grandpa Dan's to do Griffee Christmas stuff. That kid of ours is so spoiled. She got lots of fun new toys. I'm glad next year there will be 2 more grandkids, 4 total, that her grandparents will have to spread to.

We headed to Val's after that and had dinner with the Cox side of Michael's family. (Oh wait before that we had to run home because Michael dumped an entire can of soda on me. It was a long cold ride home.) It was funny to see the looks on some people's faces when they saw we were expecting again...we hadn't mentioned it too much. We had such a great Christmas. It was so fun to do just one family per holiday this year. We will definitely keep it up from now on. Well that got long and I'm tired. Write more tomorrow. Bye.

Pregnancy

I forget who we've told and who we haven't that we are expecting again. So here it is. This is our preggo blogspot. 4pregnancies1child.blogspot.com

I have lots of pictures I need to post from Christmas, but alas I am at work. We did have a very good holiday season though. Very relaxed. We loved it. It is the first year in 5 years that I don't feel like I need a vacation from my vacation. Woohoo.

I was so excited to get cute little pictures of my new nephew this morning. He's so cute. He looks just like Katy. Michael is soooo excited that they named him after him. He feels very honored. I don't think they have pictures up yet but here's a link.

Well back to work. I'll try to post tonight.

Wednesday, December 19, 2007

Kailye had her Christmas program tonight. At her program last year she was very shy and didn't do very much. This year we talked about her her program a lot and she told me she was going to be shy again. After I talked to her about how I used to sing in front of lots of people she asked how I did it. I told her I just sang really loud and didn't get scarred. She has been practicing and she did so well. I was so proud of her. She was not scarred at all.

Here is Kailye with Santa. She was not so fooled. She told us that it wasn't the real Santa. This is her waiting for her chance to show a break away karate move. Lovely really. She's such a lady. HA HA HA
We learned tonight that she is a great dancer. She was the only one who did the whole dance all the way through. It was so adorable.

She was right on beat and in step every time.

Last Night we went with some friends up to temple square. It was so fun. It wasn't too cold so it was fun to walk around and take our time. After we looked at the lights we went and watched the Joseph Smith movie in the Joseph Smith Memorial building. It was very good. There were some parts that were a little bit much for Kailye but she was very good at asking what was going on. She was so excited to tell Grandma Leeana today about how she knew all about Joseph Smith.

We've had a good few days. Well Michael needs to send out some resumes so I'll write more tomorrow.
